Hello, I’m Laura!
My mission is to educate, inspire and support families and individuals through the complex maze of mental health, family unity and holistic wellbeing whilst maintaining a diligent focus on recovery and sustainability.
I live on the beautiful Sunshine Coast in South East Queensland, Australia. I share a home with my 26 year old daughter, Harmony and our assortment of fur-babies.
Most people would say I’ve lived an extremely diverse, unique and challenging life, and they would be right, though it’s these real life experiences that have enabled me to become the compassionate, intuitive and professional therapist I am today.
I’m the daughter of two amazing people who’ve taught me the importance of family.
I’m the little sister of a wonderful brother who’s faith and trust in me has helped shape and build my character though it’s been raising my two talented and extraordinary children who’ve taught me more about life than any textbook or classroom could ever teach me.
My passion and purpose within the field of mental health and family wellbeing stems from raising my two children who’ve both been diagnosed with chronic mental health disorders since childhood and adolescence, and more recently caring for and treating my elderly father after he suffered a massive brain injury following an aneurysm rupture that extensively impacted the lives, health and lifestyle of our entire family.
My years practicing as a holistic and clinical therapist gave me the tools, strategies and confidence I needed to hold my family together when everything we held precious was falling apart around us. I’ve since learned it’s during times of overwhelming stress, anxiety, fear and grief we truly discover what we’re made of and with the right guidance, support and education we can overcome extraordinary challenges with a steadfastness and fortitude we never knew we had.
I believe it’s these virtues that help support and sustain a health recovery, positive family communication and overall happiness and wellbeing.
